Clifford Joseph Harris Jr. better known by his rap name T.I. / T.I.P. is a rapper and producer from Atlanta, Georgia was born September 25, 1980.
Paper Trail, his 6th album released September of 2008, held songs we wrote as he awaited trail for his possession and weapon charges.
T.I.’s single "No Matter What," from the album Paper Trail, is a motivational
song that can serve as the basis of never giving up. He starts off the song
with a verse explaining how he is one of the greatest to ever step foot in the
rap game. “Facing all kinda time, but smile like I’m fine,” He speaks about how
though he may have troubles with the law it won’t break him and he’ll keep
moving forward. He flows throw the verse talking about how he came up from the
bottom, and always stayed true to himself. He also lets you know that even the
people you see with a lot of money, and power can go through ordinary troubles
when he says “Ali say even the greatest gotta suffer sometime.” He makes sure
you know where he came from, and why he’s reached such a high level in the
music industry.
He flows through the chorus sending the message that
no matter what comes his way; he’s up to the challenge and doesn't care what
anyone who doesn't support his movement has to say about it.
His other verses take the same motivational tone. He
speaks of how others would rather see you in unbearable situations than doing well
for yourself. In the line “God will take you through hell, just to get you to
heaven,” he shows that struggles are going to happen, but they’re only temporary
and usually lead you to something better. He apologizes to the fans for his inexcusable
behavior and lets them know he will continue on to make them proud, and further
his success no matter the cost.
